Our Boy!

You can get an idea of this boy's personality from these pictures!

The white things are the packing peanut material that he shredded. If you are familiar with that stuff you know it sticks to you and wont come off! It was EVERYWHERE! I had to vacuum him off!

His first battery operated four wheeler that he putts around the house on.

Doesn't he look smart? He gets that from his mother! (thats me)

My sweet boy who gives meaning to my life in ways I have never had and who I love more than I thought possible!

Holly Days

We went to visit family in Utah and went to Holly Days while we were there. They had tons of activities for kids. Some of them were face painting...

Camel rides...

Pony rides...
and huge blow up slides that Josh laughed at all the way down!

Daddy, I'm watching you!

Just like the country song says, "I been watching you, hey ain't that cool! I'm your buckaroo, I want to be like you..." Josh loves to do what dad is doing!

After eating his own dinner, Josh likes to eat dad's!

Helping dad convert the stove to LP. Someone has to hold the flashlight!

What a cheesy grin!

Trying hard to fill daddy' shoes!

Four Thanksgivings!?!

This year, we had about four Thanksgivings by the time the season had come and gone! We originally had an early one at our house and everyone came up...then thanksgiving weekend rolled around and Mike bought a turkey for me to cook...then we went to visit my mom and she had cooked a dinner the day after eating one with some other relatives! I guess traditions are hard to change! It is said that a rose by any other name is just as sweet...I think not! Apparently, Thanksgiving just isn't Thanksgiving on any other day!

We spent the day after our first Thanksgiving at the Hot Springs nearby...Heavenly!

This is Josh's glare that he gives when he wonders what the heck you are doing, it is pretty funny!

Hiding under the table

Family time at our house.

Aunt Emily posing with Josh!

Grandma Jean always brings up new, exciting toys for Josh to play with!

October

We went to a local pumpkin farm after the season and loaded up a dumpster load full for our animals. Most people are content with just carving a pumpkin or two!

Family pictures...attempt!

I had a bright idea to take the family pictures this year via timer and tripod, what was I thinking? I couldn't get Josh too cooperate so most of the pictures have him squirming or running out of the pictures. These are the lesser of the catastrophes!

I finally decided to just roll with it and started snapping candid photos of my boys!

Peek-a-boo!

This picture was to get the right setting on the light, but it actually turned out kind of cool. Mike looks kind of pensive or something!

Just a picture I took while he was not paying attention.

at the hitching post!

One of my favorite pictures of my boys!

General Conference in California

We spent a few days in California visiting Mike's friends in early October. On the flight home, as we were boarding the plane, Joshua darted into the cockpit before I could grab him. I stepped in to apologize and found him charming the pilots and stewardess! They thought he was the greatest thing ever!

The pilots spent about five minutes dressing him up in their hats, letting him hold the wheel, and play with all the buttons!

We watched General Conference at our dear friends, Stan and Lulu's house. We had such a good time! Mike indulged his love of mexican food and we both got a lift from our favorite Californians!

Farm chores and work!

oshua loves to ride with dad to operate equipment and drive in the semi-truck! I think the skidsteer is his favorite because the joysticks are closer together and he can reach them!
Josh is tasting some milk that was just milked from our Jersey cow.

We have a coal burning furnace so we shoveled 7 ton of coal into our basement. This is Josh's contribution!

My little chimney sweep after we were done shoveling coal.

Mike and a friend welding on a couple of dumpsters that he recently bought.

Remodeling and moving

This is the outside of our house in the middle of the addition remodel. We added on a room to extend and enlarge the kitchen and dining room.

A very humble meal in our dry walled dining room. During the intense remodeling month, I dont think I cooked more than a meal a week, my husband was such a trooper!

Saying goodbye to our trusty rusty trailer!

Moving our shipping container full of stuff into our new home... pictures of the remodel to come...

Hmmm, some wise counsel...have a yard sale BEFORE you move!!

Boating at the lake

We did take a small break this summer from work to go boating with some friends in our church.

Josh is half fish, he loved the lake and I had to keep dragging him back when he wandered too far into the lake!

We went tubing, (does this mean I am becoming and old duffer since I didn't ski or wakeboard?) and the driver tried to kill us by launching us like a rock in a sling at break-neck speeds!
