Meet Thomas "Tommy" Dimick

Here is out newest addition to our family. Meet Thomas Dimick, born February 18 at 4:12 am...yeah, it was a long night! Our little fatty weighed 8 lbs 10 oz, (2 oz lighter than Josh was) and was 20 1/2 inches long. I finally got some pictures taken and posted so our family and friends that don't see us often can see him. Here is our happy little boy! He is so good natured and sweet, we are blessed to have him in our family.
His hands are so tiny, it doesn't matter how many times I see baby features, they are always so cute! I have always had a thing for miniature things!

The morning of the baby's birth, a few hours later. Grandma Bingham came bearing gifts. Don't mind my PJ's and my uncanny gift for fashion! Josh meets baby brother, and had the funniest reaction including mouth wide open, squeals of delight, and giggles to spare! He loves to lean over his face and look at him up close and personal, he especially loves to hold him and take his socks and mitts off so he can examine his feet and hold his hands. He tries to poke him in the mouth, eyes, nose, and ears, as well as steal his binky for himself (go figure that one when I couldn't beg him to take one as a baby)! For the most part he is pretty gentle and likes to pet his hair.
The proud daddy sure loves his boys, he is so sweet and tender with them both. He is such a wonderful husband and father to us and we love his so much. Since we had another home birth, at my parents house this time, I went down to Utah a couple weeks early. Mike would come for the weekends with a loaded semi-truck and then be gone for a few days, providing for us. It was a difficult arrangement and we missed him terribly when he was gone, but it worked out well in the end, and it has been a great blessing to have so much help from my mom while I healed.
By the time the baby came, we were all sleep deprived and welcomed the couple of hours of sleep we got before Josh woke up the world! My sister came to the rescue that morning and took Joshua for several hours so we could all get a little more sleep.
My mom, bless her heart, after assisting at the birth spent the days before and after taking care of me and my boys, cooking, cleaning, playing with Josh, playing with baby, shopping, caring for sick Josh, staying up all hours of the night, putting up with kid's messes, and more things than I can name, while I got some much needed rest and healed. I can never thank her adequately enough.
Here is Tommy, a few minutes old.
