Josh's first day trip with Dad!

Mike took Joshua on his first all day trip away from mom. They drove in the semi truck to Utah to deliver some metal. They had a fun day and took lots of pictures!

The load of metal that they delivered.

King of the scrap pile!

Filling the truck up with some fuel

The boys needed a fill up too!

Tuckered out from all the fun!

Time to drive home after a long day! They started at 1:00 in the morning and got home around 7:00 p.m. Mom was happy to see her boys!

Sinks Canyon

With our lives that are so crazy and hectic, we have learned that we have to sieze the moment, so thats what we did! We went to Sinks Canyon where we went on a hike to the water falls and to a place that gave the canyon it's name because the river sinks and then rises several hundred feet away. It was so beautiful, and we had such a wonderful time.

It was so hot that Josh got to go skinny dipping! Just be glad I didn't!

How Josh loves his daddy! "C'mon Dad, Giddy-Up!"

The sinks, where the water disappears into a huge cave.

Boys throwing rocks.

Our Bite-size Farm

Here are some of the photos of the characters that live on our farm and some of the surrounding countryside.

Josh loves to drink out of the water faucet and splash in the troughs!

Meet Julie, our Jersey milk cow!

These are a few of our cows, our property extends into the background. We own a total of 48 acres.

Josh, of course loves the cows too! They think he's pretty swell too, they mostly just stare at him. He got licked one time and decided he didn't like the sandpaper tongue very well.

Meet some of our little goats, we have 7 now since we sold 4.

Josh loves to feed the animals. He holds the bucket and lets them eat, even when there is nothing in the bucket.

My little farm boy.

Our boxer, her name is Shea. She was recently lost on a trip we took to Billings...sad.

You wont find happier chickens that the ones who have full run on our farm! Josh likes to chase them and try to catch them...no luck so far!

Our three little pigs. And no, they don't build houses of brick, sticks, or straw!

Our new House...Pre-remodeling

This is a big reason for the fact that I haven't written anything for a couple of months. We bought a big fat project! Welcome to our 1939 farm home that sits on 48 acres. We have a huge shop, a milk barn, chicken coops, a loafing barn, green house and garage. There is a garden spot, 37 acres of hay, and pasture. The yard is surrounded by mature trees and fields of neighbors hay. It is really peaceful and the only sounds that can be heard are the doves and the screach owl in the trees! I am posting pictures of the house before we remodeled it so you can see the difference after it is remodeled. Mike is gone for most of the week, so I have done most of it. We are texturing the walls, removing all the carpet, refinishing the hardwood floors, painting, replacing windows, putting crown molding up, replacing the toilet and sink in the bathroom and tiling the floor. The plumbing is going to be replaced and much of the wiring and lighting fixtures.
One day, I think we will learn to not take on more than we can handle!

The living room...

The master bedroom...

Joshua's room ( ya, the putrid carpet is gone!)...

Coal room and furnace...

Bathroom, (what is it with our luck in getting stuck with pink bathrooms?)...

The office...

The breakfast nook...

Kitchen with the lovely carpet...

The mud room...

...well that's the end of the tour, to see more, you must come visit, or wait until I post the pictures of the completed remodeling.

4th of July

We spent the 4th of July near Yellowstone. We went 4-wheeling, kayaking, hiking, watching fireworks, and having fun.

Dad and Josh shared Huckleberry icecream on the way up, yum!

Yes, we are rednecks. We took our goats with us because they weren't weaned yet. On the way home we picked up 3 pigs, a cow, chickens, and a dog!

We stopped for a picnic just outside of Jackson Hole

CAUGHT in the act! We came back from a river trip and caught Chase and Emily cuddling with our goats!

Tender Moments and Testing Times!

There is nothing like the day to day life of being a mom! Moments fluctuate from tender to testing in seconds and then back again!

Daddy and son time!

I was on the computer for a minute when I heard a crash from the kitchen, I looked out and couldn't see Josh so I went looking for him. I turned around and there he was grinning at me eye level on the kitchen table! He learned to climb and was throwing everything off the table for me!

Josh is such a boy and loves to get down and dirty!

Hoses are the best entertainer for children ever invented!

My little watermelon eater.

Josh likes to savor the taste of things...and then spit them out!

My sweet boy just chilling for a moment.

How do you like my new hat?

This is the busiest boy you will ever find and he is frequently known to fall asleep mid-stride or in the middle of lunch!
