Even as I type this, it has taken me days just to get it written because of the constant demands that my boys make of me. When I look at my life from a distance, I am so blessed. I have a gentle husband, two beautiful, happy boys, space to grow on our farm, and a lovely home. We are surrounded by wonderful friends and a solid spiritual foundation. When I live my life, from day to day, it is easy to forget how blessed I am.

When I am immersed in the daily grind, it is easy to forget that when my boys are screaming at me, pooping on me, puking on me, and crying at the top of their lungs, that they are my "blessings". But it is worth it when those "blessings" give me a smile, wrap their arms around me in a bear hug, take my hand so I will follow him, or fall asleep cuddled up on my lap.

This is why I keep a record. When I put my life at arms length, I can see it more clearly for what it is...GOOD.

Kids in Motion

On Saturdays we attend a toddler play group at a big gym. Josh loves to stretch his legs as he runs around the mats.
He is learning to share, and not beat up the other kids. Well... he is still learning!

Story Time

Our local library has a weekly story time that we go to. Instead of just hearing a book, they have dancing and singing, and learning activities, as well as some kind of craft.
Josh kept trying to give this boy (who is in a couple of other activities we attend) a hug, and got in trouble from the librarian because she thought he was wrestling.

Spring Carnival

The community put on a spring carnival with blowup slides, obstacle courses, and bouncers. They had other booths with activities for young and old. Josh spent his time running back and forth between the bouncers.

Daddy's Shadow

These pictures are kind of blurry, but cute, so I am posting them. Mike was making some hardware for his dumpsters and Josh wanted to help him.

Happy St Patrick's Day

We had a GREEN breakfast for St. Patrick's Day! Green Eggs, Green Fruit Salad, Green Milk, and Muffins! How do you like my little leprechauns?

Making Root Beer

We made a treat one night of homemade rootbeer. Josh liked the 'fog', and he kept trying to eat it! We had some rootbeer floats, yum, yum!

Tommy pictures

Here are some pictures I have taken since Tommy came home.
Here is Daddy, who just woke up from a nap with Tommy.

He has always loved his bath time. He likes to make a fist and hold it to his face.
I did a look-a-like comparison of Thomas and Joshua. On the computer screen, is a picture of baby Josh...pretty close to the same mold, dont you think?

Dinosaur museum

We went for an outing to take Josh and Tommy to the Dinosaur museum. Josh liked running around the most, but he did like the baby dinosaurs and the goldfish in the pond, as well as finding the animals in the recreated habitats that we walked through.

Happy Birthday

I celebrated my own birthday while I was at my parents house. I cant believe that my 27th birthday is here, I feel forever 21! We had a birthday dinner and ice cream complete with party hats, balloons, and whistles.

Valentine's Day

On Valentine's Day, Josh helped me make some frosted rice crispy cookies and homemade chocolate suckers. Then we wrapped them up on plates so we could drop them on people's doorsteps and run away.
My mom, Josh and I tasted some of the treats before we delivered them.
Joshua liked the idea of being secretive as we dropped off treats on the doorstep and hid so we could watch them open the door and find them. He would put his finger to his lips and say "shhh" as we hid, and then he would run away after they shut the door.

"No" man aka Snowman!

There were a couple of days while we were in Vernal that it snowed. One night, as it was snowing, my mom and Josh went out to make a snowman before it melted. Here is Josh the next day, distraught that his "noman" is melting, so he fixed his nose!
They built a mini snowman inside, I took a picture before he dumped it on the floor!
Here is the finished snowman, below he is bringing snow from all corners of the yard.

Circus

The circus came to town and we had quite the experience on the financial end of it! After cutting of an arm and part of Josh's leg to pay for the entry fee, Mike, my mom, and I sat in the bleachers in awe at the outrageous prices that they charged for cotton candy ($4), popcorn ($3), pony rides ($10) and so on. We watched a family in front of us and decided that by the time they went home, they had spent around $400 for the 2 adults and 3 kids they had brought. Joshua kept watching everyone around him eating all these treats, so I made a trip to a vending machine and for $2.00 brought back an orange, a sprite, a bag of peanut m&ms, a bag of chips for him to munch on.
Call us cheap, but once you get past that part, Josh had an enjoyable time watching the tigers, dancers, elephants, tight rope walkers, and most of all the motorcycles.
Walking around during intermission, and after the circus (yes here is a preggy picture of me complete with my waddle, and baggy pants since I couldnt pull them up, and clothes that dont fit)

Vernal Activities

Making popcorn, Josh was so excited to make it that he had a hard time waiting for it to pop so he kept taking the lid off.
We had a belated New Years Eve celebration complete with a pinata, movies, and treats.
We had some puppet shows that I put on, Josh kept wanting more, and then he put on some of his own for me.
Josh liked to dress himself up so he could go and play outside.
Joshua was grateful to have a dad and grandpa to roughhouse with.
I brought a lot of projects to finish while I waited at my parents house for Tommy to come. I brought my sewing projects so they could be finished and Joshua decided to help me. He was most interested in being the keeper of the pins and putting them in the cloth, as well as inconveniently taking them out of some of my projects.
He helped me finish the baby blanket and another quilt that Mike and I had started at Christmas.
We read lots of books together.
Josh enjoyed helping us to make Carrot and apple juice in our juicer, although he doesn't like to drink it.
This was a cute shot I took of Joshua playing with some of grandma's trucks.
Joshua always enjoys his one on one time with Daddy.
Hours and hours were spent playing with playdough, making different figures, and hauling and making roads in it with his trucks.
