Against all odds, we raced away from the airport to see the panama canal during our 4 hour layover in
the Panama airport. We had visa counter workers,
taxi drivers, locals, and just about anyone you can think
of scoffing at our attempt to make it there and back in time.
To fulfill a personal goal and promise that Mike had made to himself, we forged ahead anyway, as we stood on the sides of one of the Panama canal gates, it was sweeter to watch than one could have imagined. What the mind can conceive and believe, it can achieve. Thats my husband! We did make it back to the airport with enough time to spare and a smile on our face.
I am so glad that you guys got to do this! And, I love that it was one of Mike's promises to himself. He looks so very pleased :)!
