We had a simple and laid back Easter this year. We spent so much time being gone the previous weeks that all I wanted to do was stay home! Our holiday time was so hectic that our eggs that were supposed to be colored only got far enough to be boiled, so since we didn't have time to color them, we just ate them as is. (Does it count for our eggs being colored if our chickens lay, chocolate brown, green, and blue eggs, or is that just being pathetic?)
Saturday night, on our way home from Utah, and Moab, I stopped by the store, grabbed some little basket stuffers and a small bag of chocolate and managed to put them in baskets before crashing into bed.
Josh woke up the next morning and cautiously inspected everything from the bunny to the basket. Once he discovered there was chocolate in the eggs, he promptly sat down and consumed all he could find.
Note, this is why I purchased mostly healthier snacks. Unbeknownst to me, however, Mike had also purchased two large bags of chocolate, which Josh made quick work of behind my back during the next couple of days! Who invented this tradition of sugar high anyway?
