Happy Birthday cruise to Me!

Tis the season for parties! Couldn't be a better season than February for birthdays, since that month kind of drags on from the drudgery of winter! This year, instead of feeling sorry for myself that no one acknowledged my day, I acknowledged myself and booked a cruise to Mexico!
While in the airport, Josh got the hang of traveling and sat on the suitcase, holding on like a monkey!
We left out of LA, so we got to visit Mike's mission and our beloved friends, the Fredericks.
Josh discovered lemons grew on trees so we picked some and made fresh lemonade!
We had so many adventures on the ship and while docked. Our room was small, of course, but we didn't stay there much besides for naps anyways.
The food is always a hit and Josh loved the ice cream available at all times! Did I say Josh, I meant Mike, no Tommy!
There were activities for kids hosted by the ship, and an outdoor track and mini golf course. Tommy just liked to eat the ball and Josh liked to be a bridge for the ball to go under!
The ship had several pools and even a water park, so we made some good memories there! When we got cold from the pools, we soaked in one of the hot tubs while dad brought us drinks to sip!
At the fancy dinner, they sang to me and brought me cake and ice cream. Poor Josh didn't even make it past the appetizer before he zonked.
Before our flight left, we went to the beach and played some more in the sand and water. We were right next to the station for all of the big equipment that maintains the beach, so between playing in the sand and watching the trucks, Josh was in 'boy heaven'!
On a sad note, while we were heading home in the LA airport, Tommy fell and cut his nose open. There was lots of gushing blood, paramedics, and attention from all the concerned people from the surrounding gates. We turned down their requests for us to go to the hospital in an ambulance and continued on our journey. Now he has a scar, that you will see in the following pictures, that the young women in our branch declare looks like the American eagle logo!
